This project is a master-planning framework for the extension of an existing University Campus. Predominantly academic buildings are envisaged for the site though the plan form can accommodate a variety of functions and accommodation sizes. Designed with linkages at intersections between buildings the campus can develop organically as space requirements and funding dictate. Development is anticipated to take place over a number of years. Sustainability has been an important issue for this project. The use of ground source heat pumps, dedicated treatment of effluent and solar shading by use of planting are among the features incorporated into the plan. |
