WORKSHOP & OFFICES - LJMU
This project was developed in two phases. The first phase is for the existing workshop walls to be overclad in new aluminium & trespa rainscreens with a new curved standing seam roof over which retains the structural grid of the existing building. The second phase is for the existing brick offices to be demolished & replaced by new part single, part two storey building cut into existing ground level. The new building is finished with cladding to match the first phase. The new offices are to be finished with a new curved standing seam aluminium roof.
Additionally the works include for the existing external steps leading to the Peter Jost Centre are to be removed & existing concrete retaining walls modified. A new free standing external stair & external access bridge is to be added to replace the existing, with modified retaining walls formed in concrete to match existing, battered retaining wall formed with gabions & overplanting.
