Lamancha Community Centre

Lamancha Community Centre is the result of an initiative by local people to take over and convert a former village schoolhouse. Conversion was a pilot project funded with a variety of grants. In addition to two large multipurpose rooms the conversion includes a cafe and office space for rent. In addition to very high insulation, the building uses a ground loop to tap geothermal energy which, combined with a heat pump, supplies all heating requirements.
