The movie above shows the Cotterell building during the overcladding project where the left hand side has been completed and the right hand side is original. This is then overlaid with a thermal image of the building. You can see from the thermal image how poorly functioning the windows and wall were prior to the new overcladding.

The cost of overcladding these buildings was approximatly 7% the cost of new replacemement buildings, and the heating requirements for the buildings has been reduced by approximatly 80%. Throughout the project the building was able to function normally.
